Default ahhhhh ac help!! please

Ok my wife said the ac quit working on our 06 dodge ram 1500. So i went home and checked everything. Inside the truck you can hear it switch over the vents for the ac. So that works, When you turn the ac on the condensor starts and then shuts off and turns back on creating a clicking sound. So i checked all the fuses related to the ac & componets.

I grabbed the upper ac line and "super hot" so then i went to the condensor fan. The fan is not coming on at all. I checked the blue wire running into the back of the fan and it had power.

So i'm guessing the condensor fan is my problem?? would it not make my ac circulate if the fan was bad? thanks guys for the help

Yup fan should come on with air on at idle. Don't need it driving down the road as air is being forced through the condenser. Try it, drive down the road and see if it gets cold. Been lots of posts on this subject this summer, use the search function. Good luck.

Oh and if it doesn't get cold driving vs at idle, may be something else.
