My 03's leaf springs are SHOT. Its a short bed,2wd 1500. As far as i know its not the towing package etc. What can i use that'll fit right on the truck? Il be calling salvage yards etc. What years drop in? im on a budget.

 

The SRT-10 has special springs but otherwise I see either a 3 or 4 leaf springs. I don't know that you would save enough to justify used over OEM replacement springs.

 

it'll save me a bit,$25 per side at the local pull it yard.

The 3 and 4 leaf,are they interchangeable? (aka drop in and go?)

 

The SRT-10 reg cab has special springs, but they're designed to be under the axle and they have buikt in snubbers. SRT-10 quad cabs have the same springs as regular 1500's.

 

I think they are the same lengths. If you are going from a 3-leaf to 4-leaf then the truck will probably sit a little higher because it will not compress quite as much. The ride of the truck will be a little stiffer. I would not recommend going in the reverse direction because you would be de-rating the capacity.

 

I THINK i have the 4 leaf,i need to go look in a minute. The ones i have now are sagging pretty bad,so this needs to be addressed.
