A couple of questions regarding suspention/steering.
The backstory is that I bought my truck with 105xxx miles and I'm sure everything like the bearings, shocks, ect.. ect.. are all from factory and never been replaced. So, nonetheless.. they'll have to be replaced. But, I did do some searching. But didn't really find what I wanted to know. But, I've got the worse ride I could ever imagine. When I'm on a flat surface it's okay, but when I go over the slightest bumpy road, my truck will flip out and just go all over the place (not really) but the steering wheel will go from side to side, and my truck is just rough when going over bumps, rail road tracks. I never have a load, so it's all empty. But when I go look at other trucks drive by.. they're all calm going over the bumps. So, I'm thinking it's the shocks I need to replace.. but the steering to move side to side a little bit when going over bumps is what got me. First thing came to my head was a stabilizer? I'm not really sure. I know my wheel bearings are still good. The steering wheel has about a 2-3 degree of play, not that bad. I had everything balanced when I got the new tires. Haven't got the truck aligned yet.
When I hit a bump or something it feels like the back end up my truck actually lifts up, and makes the tires spin in the air and comes down hard.. and that's going over it slowly.
Any help on what I should check would be good. If I am breaking any rule on the forum, feel free to just trash the thread and send me in the right direction.
