Correct, as Osteodoc said... you bought the wrong one! Sorry.
You can tell on any differential by jacking up one rear wheel and seeing if it will turn (being out of gear/park, with e-brake off, of course... some DO forget). If it does, one has an open differential (NOT limited-slip).

Even with the limited-slip, the Ram tends to spin the tire in the air and not the one on the ground. It did it in my Durango when I would go Off-Roading, when both wheels are on the ground you'll spin both tires, but not necessarily with one wheel in the air.
Dodge uses a Limited-Slip, not a Locker. A Limited-Slip only works to a certain degree then it basically becomes useless, a Locker will positively lock both rear axles together when one is getting no traction.
Look in your Glovebox there should be a sticker that will tell you whether or not you have the Anti-Spin differential and also what your Rear End Gear is.
