So, I'm getting ready to buy a SC. First I must address my transmission. Anybody know what it takes to make one of these transmisisons last? Any companies out there make a heavy duty version? I really do no want to swap to a manual, I like the auto for towing.

I'm just starting my research now and I really haven't found much information right off the bat.

By the way it's a 05 Hemi QC.

 

I'm by no means an expert with Dodge tranny's, but if the 545RFE is anything like the 48RE that lives behind the cummins I would suggest a Torque Converter/flex plate upgrade, valve body upgrade and possably a deeper tranny pan to hold more fluid.

there might be a few things that I left off but that should get you pointed in the right direction.
