ETC Light, Then no codes, should I worry?
I was leaving a recreation area on a very dusty, very bumpy road when I got a steady Check Engine Light and a steady Electronic Throttle Control light. I got onto paved road and the power was gone. (limp mode?) I disconnected the battery, waited a bit and reconnected it. The lights were cleared and the truck ran fine. I was out of town for a week, came back and I couldn't get a code with the key trick, so I took it to a parts store that had the OBDII reader. It showed no codes for engine. (Checked transmission codes just because I was there, none of those either.)
Other than cleaning the throttle body as is noted in several threads regarding ETC's on the site, should I do anything?
Is there a history of problems related to this I need to be aware of?
Does the key trick work to get codes from a 2008?
Any help is appreciated.
