So I bought a diablo sports predator and it only has tuning for 2005 and up for the 1500 HEMI. I have a 2003 truck. So I just chose the option that I had an 05 and I tuned with it. The truck took the tune, but I didn't notice any difference in power. I was wondering if the 2003 PCM's are the same as the 2005 and if it was OK to do that tune? or should I return it and get one that supports my year.

I would return it and get one that supports the year. There are differences. but since you have a 2003, there really is not much a piggyback tuner will do for you. The best thing you can do as in quick tuning is look up the TM Delete Mod. It makes more of a difference than ANY tuner you can find out their. I got a tuner, but I leave it at stock setting and just use it for the digital readouts that the dash gauges don't give you like Trans Temp. and Throttle Input.

 

diablo does support an '03. The 7137 will do '03+ Make sure it's got the latest CROM level.

 

I agree with sabin, 03s dont see nearly the gains as later years. I dont believe the pcm is exactly the same. For example the tm delete mod sabin refers to is only for the 03, not the 05.

 

Ok thanks guy, I just did the TM delete and yeah... it was pretty nice. Hemifever.. I got the Trinity T1000 model.. and was only 05 and up, so I am returning it and going to get the intune model.. it supports 03.

I have the Trinity and and 04. I am custom tuned and it makes a big difference. However, I have the mods to make my tune make a difference also.

HemiFever can do a helluva job on tuning.
