Default Lowered..Help with rear shocks

Well I have 04 Ram 1500 SLT. I bought the truck and it was already lowered. Well the back shocks are blown and I bottom out over intersections. I took it to my buddies shop for oil change and we checked out the rear..Sure enough the shocks are blown. So I bought new replacement ones. They are the Monroe Sensa-Trac. My question is since my truck is lowered should I have bought different shocks???? The one guy at work said I might need the lowered shocks not normal ones. Please help. It would really suck if I bought the wrong ones.

Thanks for all the help guys...

I run Belltech Nitro Drop 2's which helps in getting me from A to B. Looking into getting some QA1's in the future.

Ya I keep hearing the Belltech Nitro. Think I am going to just buy them. Thanks for the help.

team- Ya they didn't look that great, that was part of me returning them. Also b/c they were OEM replacement. Glad I sent them back cuz I would be pissed if that happened to me

So I finally got my money back for the OEM shocks. I am about to buy new ones just want to make sure I get the right ones. I bought the truck like this so I have no idea how it was lowered. The front from ground to top of wheel well is 32 1/2" and the rear is 33 3/4". So I am hoping that is only 2-4" drop not 5" cuz I am about to buy the Belltech Nitro Drop 2's for the 2-4" drop.

Is there any reason I shouldn't buy these ones? how do I know they are the correct ones? I dont wanna get ones that will rise the rear of the truck and have it look like ****... Please let me know these are correct b/c I am waiting to order them to be sure
