Default Need new leaf springs.........

So I helped a buddy out last weekend......bragging up the ol' DODGE, and it backfired. He bought 6,000 pounds of wood pellets for this winter, and we needed to move them from storage to his home. We put 2,300lbs in his chevy 2500, 2,000lbs in his old mans Chevy 2500, and 1700lbs in my Hemi 1500. The Hemis' springs didn't like that much weight at all! The truck now leans 2 inches to the left, and both left and right leaf springs are out of shape.

Anybody know a good place online to order new leaf springs?

Here is a pic of the truck empty.......lol

Ouch... You're lucky that's all that happened, bit I'd wager they were in bad shape before hand..

I run e-z ride +3" on mine.. I love the progressive ramp starting about halfway through the travel, and the very linear ramp before.. they ride super smooth on the road, but can handle a load no problem... Much more load than oe.. well, rated for more anyway.. I try not to haul more than a alf ton in the bed..

For what it's worth, I hardly ever see a ram that doesn't have leafs that look like this even after a few years. I think it's the nature of installing an overload spring backwards for some reason.

They weren't perfect before, but this load finished them off. I don't recall them being in almost in the shape of a "W" right above the axle.

Mine were terribly collapsed before I swapped them.. a lazy 'W' for sure..

The ez rides are just nominally more expensive than oe replacements.. they're worth it for sure..

I'm surprised 1700 lbs did them in. I've taken two loads of river rock in mine which were in the 2200-2300 lb range and mine are still fine, although I do have air bags...

Might try LMC Truck...

Yeah I checked out my LMC catalogs right away. Also found General Spring online, and they have some 2200lb springs that are decently priced.

@Hammer......even before we put that much weight in the bed, I hopped on here to see how much others have tried so set in there. I did see your river rock post, so thought I'd set my limit at 1700......down side of all this is that my torsion bar level looks goofy now. Upside is now I get to upgrade.
