Clutch
I'm only going to say this once....PAY to have your clutch done in one of these trucks. It took me right about 20 hrs over a period of 2 days with the proper tools. It seriously sucks. I had a tech that was going to do it for $100 but I thought I'd be saving money....YEAH RIGHT!! I'll pay next time. I had a lift, air tools, hydraulic jacks...the whole nine yards but I hope I dont have to do this again anytime soon. Just some FYI

RE: Clutch
Seems how I work for a DCX dealer...my tech was only going to charge me $100...you can expect to pay in excess of $1500 for parts and labor. I bought mine used with 39k on it and the rear tires were just flat worn out so i know it got abused. I'm right at 50k now...the disc, plate and flywheel were fine but the throwout and pilot bearings were toast from being driven so hard. I went ahead and replaced it all seems how i was already there and I really don't want to tear it apart again.

just because the flywheel and clutch looked alright doesn't mean they are - my 2007 3500 was in the shop and they replaced the bearings and input shaft now it is in the shop and had to replace the whole package (flywheel, pressure plate, clutch) for the LOW, LOW price of $2800 - Dodge will not stand behind it even though I have extended warranty and the shop mechanic (at a Dodge dealership) says it was a defective part
