Default Infant Car Seat Question

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram Crew Cab. My husband and I are expecting our first baby, and I have heard of a lot of people having trouble fitting car seats in the back of Rams. Does anyone know what type of rear facing infant car seat fits into '08 Ram Crew Cabs? Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it.

You can fit one in the middle. It will be protruding between the seats, but it'll fit. Otherwsie, a rear facing seat behind the passenger side requires the passenger seat to be moved almost all the way forward. My wife fit just fine like that as she is shorter(~5'5") but it blocks drivervision out the side glass when someone is all the way forward. I had my seatbelt unbolted in the middle from my stereo or else would have stuck it in the middle.

I have the cheapest / smallest rear facing model from Cosco (not Costco) and it fits in the middle up against the flip up centre seat in the upright position and just barely touches it. Our Graco Quatro (with detachable base) allowed the centre seat to flip up completely as well once in place. These are the smallest seat I could find as our jeep is just as small as the truck. Both seats would not fit behind the drive/passengers seat if you're taller than maybe 5'6" - 5'8" from our experience since the seat slope back a little further than the middle flip up section. Doable I guess but not comfortable. This is in a quad cab. If you have a full crew/mega then I think room wouldn't be an issue. Just can't remember if they had the full crew in 08.

Keep in mind my seats are 4-5 years old and probably have changed a bit but the convertible seat is a Cosco Scenera, the bucket type is a Graco Snugride. They didn't use to have much extra padding or fluff around the edges which kept the overall length of the seat fairly small. Some of these seats out there are huge and full of crap which probably won't even fit in the middle seat since the legs will not be able to sit on the narrow rear seat. Can't take a picture in case you're wondering since I just converted the second seat over to forward facing.
