This is for the tranny, Im not sure they have any bigger Radiators, dont quote me for sure though.
But alot of people upgrade their Tranny cooler(the cooler right in front of there Radiator) to a 26 fin instead of the small one they tpically use

The radiator is the same.. the trans cools through radiator, or radiator first if a towing package is present.. if towing package, it routes to the aux heat exchange mounted in front of radiator, sharing the radiators bracket..

The oe aux heat exchange is hard to beat.. it is plate style and floggin huge.. I've not run into an aftermarket cooler near as nice as that one..

If you want additional cooling, which I did, install an additional plate style heat exchange in front of our a/c exchange... I went with a haynes model, and biggest I could find locally.. it matches size with a/c exchange in surface area..

Why put it there? A/c or any powered ventilation such tas defrost or whenever your cab fan is engaged, the a/c efan engages.. if your slow rolling as on a trail, or maneuvering a load or trailer, the cement of that aux trans cooler will allow you to use the a/c fan as an efan for the cooler... Pretty slick, no?

Tow package cooling means you have a 14-18 row tranny cooler compared to a 8-10 row one

Re: rows on cooler... I have a 5.9, and it must be one of the things that changed...

Re: efan... I have one on outside, that pushes, one on inside that pulls.. 16" fans and they overlap.. puller rated for 2750cfm, pushing is harder to do.. same model fan only pushes 2400cfm... I've never come close to overheating, and the added torque off the line from idle to about 1200rpm is real and present.. nice little bump right where you need it most..

I've got the flex-a-lite 180, pulls 3300 cfm. My truck NEVER goes above 190*, and my tranny temp has never exceeded 165* (and I have a temp gauge). Even pulling a 7700 lb. tractor and dual axle trailer combo.

BTW, after replacing my stock dual core radiator with a single core in my old Grand Cherokee, a bottle of Purple Ice and a pair of 9" 1550 cfm pusher fans install yielded about a 10-12* drop in engine temps. Dunno how much was the coolant additive and how much was the fan though.

BTW, I have one of these fans BRAND NEW still if anybody wants it for what I paid for it. $32 plus shipping...
