Default Leveling kit question

Title says it all

I was wondering what inch should I order for my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500? Its either 2" or 2.5" inch leveling kit. I just dont know which inch. I was wondering if you guys could give me pointers/inputs.

Thanks,
DillyS07 aka Dillon.

the popular option for the 06+ crowd (coil over front ends) is to go with the bilstein 5100's. those will provide up to 2" of leveling and a higher performance shock. Rancho make a similar product in the Quicklift

generally most people go 2" max. you can go more, but some people have had issues with the CV joint angles at 2.5". they will get shudder while in 4WD and or have CV's fail quickly.

Just take the words "leveling kit" out of your vocabulary lol. You should be saying "lift struts". You want either Bilstein or Rancho lift struts

Yes sticking with a 2" option is the safer bet. There might still be a little rake (.5" or so) but nothing you will notice without a tape measure.

Yes, the 'leveling kits' are for those of us with torsion rod front suspensions
