2004 Hemi cuts out at hwy speeds
Just started doing this Im sure there is a thousand threads on this but Im about ready to trade it in from what ive read so far. At about 45-70 it cuts out doesnt die but does it it just enough to **** me off. Its not throwing any codes stoped by autozone and had them hook up the reader just incase the light was out in the dash. Any thoughts or shoud I just start replacing things? Has dodge figured anything out on this.
Other than the forgotten milage and other info like motor size, year, ECT. Now does it do it only when crusing? Does it cut out from a stop to WOT to gain high way speed as well? Does it do it all the time? When the motor hot or when it cold? If I am not mistaken the throttle body on a 5.7 is a fly by wire. Could be a place to start looking at to see if it the prob, and start tracing from there. Good luck.
Gunnybunny makes some good points we need more info on your truck.
Try doing a simple tune up plugs, filter(check), TB clean.
But we already have the year and the engine size so dont worry about that

Ok its a 5.7, 4x4 SLT 133000 mls on it, cleaned the TB, new plugs, new EGR. Its like you turn the key off and right back on again weird never had anything like this happen before. It doesent do it all the time just when crusing from about 40-70 and still its just every once in a while
