Default transmission squealing during acceleration

I bought a 2002 ram 1500 reg cab with about 62K miles on it a few months ago and about 2 weeks ago I noticed a squealing noise coming from the center/passenger side of the floor inside the car during acceleration. The noise sounds very similar to fast forwarding a cassette tape, the high pitch squealing sound. It started out happening every once in awhile, but it seems to be happening more frequently lately and happens only when accelerating. I'm thinking it has something to do with the transmission. Has anyone every experienced this problem or have any idea what it could be?

Thanks!

Im assuming you did check the fluid level right?

What about jacking up the rear SECURELY and putting it in drive and see what you get then?
