hey guys new member here. picked up a 2008 1500 BH the other day. coming from the world of bmws cars. had a few toyota tundras back in the day. got the truck with 60k miles sounds rides pretty good. obviously feels completely diffrent from last ride so i got to get used to how the ride is and what feels normal. how long will the oem shocks lst. im thinking that may be the first thing i do is get new shocks. looking to learn some new things. i bought it with tires that are pretty worn so the dealer is throwing in a new set. not sure what theyre ordering. I think the first acessory id like to purchase is a black bull bar. whats a qaulity one. dont want to fish on ebay since i do know anything bout this truck yet. thanks

edit. whoops saw the new member thread sorry mods u cant move this over there.

Welcome! I replaced my shocks this year, 9 years old but way overdue looking back. Opinions on brand vary a lot, depends on type of ride you want. I used Monroex Reflex, much improved ride. You may or may not need new ones now, but had I known how much better mine would have been and handling I would have done it a lot sooner. I just don't think the stock ones are all that good even new.

No clue about bull bars.
