Default lug bolts breaking

I have an '06 3500 Cummins megacab an have been having problems with lug bolts breaking off. on a recent 3000 mile trip I had 4 lug bolts break off of 1 tire! I had 22" wheels on until yestrday, got my factory wheels on now. Is it common for this to be happening? Changing wheels i twisted 2 bolts off by hand, 1 when I was takin it off an another when I was puttin a tire back on.

Not very common at all. Usually an indication of over-torquing the nuts...

Agree w/Hammer over torquing cause the stud to stretch. Ask your shop to hand torque your wheels. Don't rely on torque sticks.

Also check to see if you have the proper hub centric rings for your 22's, if you don't that will put a lot more strain on them

+1 on this, those stupid little rings are important.... it was probably a combination of over-torque and improper or lack of hubcentric rings...
