Those are tow truck chains.....that vehicle was being towed most likely......if you look close...you can see the black rubber in the grass.
If that thing had been yanking a stump...it would have left tire tracks and hit the trailer alot lower then it did....not to mention the truck would be pointing up instead of down inside the trailer....

So based on Devils respose (and I think he's right), then one could also resonably conclude that this truck was completely airborn when it hit the trailer. I would pay money to see a tape of the accident.
