Default Anyone installed a PA Body lift? Need some help..

This is kit 60173 for 06-08 ram 1500 2/4wd. I'm installing it on an 06 2wd. The main problem I'm having is with the steering extension. I've removed the bolt and attempted to pull up on the intermediate shaft to seperate from the rack and pinion. I didn't budge so I figured like the instructions say it should free up when you lift the cab. Well the cab is lifted and the intermediate shaft is STILL in the same spot and won't move up. Is it ok to just leave out the extension or is something wrong here? Also the parking break cable how do you remove from the junction?

I did a PA 3" BL on mine and know exactly what you are talking about. BE SURE you have the battery disconnected. You do not to make the air bags go off.

When I did mine, I had no issues. I grabbed it with both hands and pushed up and up it went. I have sen other guys have theirs stuck though. I can tell you the extension is needed though.

I've managed to get the steering extension in, so I thought I'd explain how in case someone else runs into this. The only thing holding that intermediate shaft is rust. As suggested by performance accesories a little heat with a propane torch and a socket extension being tapped with a hammer popped it right off. At this point you can install the extension but when you go to put the steering shaft onto the extension the steering shaft is too long and the angle will not work. The dodge steering shafts are like telescopic (right word?) they collapse into themselves. Put one end of a 1/2 drive socket extension into the hole where the rack and pinion shaft once sat and hold the steering shaft firmly. Then smack that with a hammer til it collapses in on itself ...THEN put that steering shaft onto the extension. Preferably not in snow and freezing temps as I did
