Default *Update* Superchips tuner needs to be sent back.

I recieved the tuner today but the excitement was short-lived. After reading the stock file the tuner set code T-43-file not stock.

I now need to send my tuner out to Superchips and have their engineers look at it. They say I'm not the first to encounter this...Hopefully they get this straightened out for all those who aren't jumping on the first batch.

Superchips has always had their **** together, so I'm somewhat suprised. Oh well...You win some, you lose some.

I'd expect better "quality control," or perhaps, R&D. One would think they would test their product on an assortment of appropriate trucks, not just the one on which they did development--which is what it looks like happened.

Superchips' may have had it together in the past, but lately (not just this) they seemed to have slipped.

Wish you the best of luck on the replacement. I have to wonder if they held up all orders for the same setup, when you contacted them... or sent the rest out anyway. We'll see.

I'm still waiting on my tuner but a question for you..

Have you had any reflashes done by the dealer on your computer?

When I got my truck it would die when going into reverse about every 20 times or so.

The dealer did a flash to fix the problem and it has been fine since then.

Wonder if this could be the the problem with the mismatch?

- sent it back to superchips they said it wasnt a complete install ( which it was )
- they updated the file
- i went to the dodge dealership , had the computer flashed
- sent that invoice for $120 to superchips , they sent me a check for it
- installed the program again , and i havent had a problem since

No reflashes. I did need to clear a trans code the same night I bought it though.

They are aware of this.

UPS just dropped it off. I talked to them, they said just program it as instructed, no dealer reflash necessary.

I will post tonight on how it worked/didn't work out.

I wonder if the girl who packed it is sexy...It smells strongly of perfume...

ttt

Everything has worked out fine. Truck now has some grunt coming out of the hole and what feels like an increase in midrange torque. Maybe I need to dyno w/ a/f and see how shes really doing.
