I agree; I don't care for the look of the Pop-a-Lock. So, I got the one "Bully" makes. One cannot even see the key-slot unless looking for it. My only gripe is that the Bully is shinery than stock (otherwise, looks OEM), but I'm assuming that will "weather" away after a while. I don't know of any others to recommend.
All the best.

I had a pace-edwards electric tailgate lock. It install on the inside of the tailgate (easy), run a harness up along the frame and into the cab through the bulkheads under the dash. It j-clips into your power lock wires. Its awesome if you have keyless entry its all tied together.

RE: Tailgate Lock
I got the Bully as well. It seems good enough quality and like Avanti says, you almost can't see the key. It just swaps out the old handle. Double check their part numbers, however. The first one I got listed for an 04 and didn't fit. Pep Boys then wouldn't take it back, so I ordered online.
