Default Aftermarket JVC Navigation Install

I have just finished installing a JVC KWNT500HDT into my 2007 Dodge Ram and man this thing is so much better than the OEM Navigation. I do have one issue with it and I am hoping someone on here can help.

It has a Speed Pulse feature that needs to be connected to the odometer wire. Can anyone let me know where this wire is located? Also, a lot of the controls are disabled when I start driving. Is there anyway to disable this? Will grounding the light green work? It really sucks not being able to switch to bluetooth audio without stopping. Not sure why they did this.

Thanks for any help.

Aftermarket has their finger on it for sure. You get a lot more for your money.

If there IS a way to disable, then the manufacturer should know. I believe they are required to enable this function from the factory.

Check google or even youtube to see if anyone else has bypassed the options only avail when parked.

Speed sensor wire can be found under the hood, at the PCM. Download a copy of the service manual and look through the electrical schematics

Thanks Weed. I got the override working. It was just confusing because it was being called parking brake, but grounding it just tells the unit that the car is in park, so all is good with that. I will look for a wiring schematic and see if I can locate the speed sensor and all will be complete.

I will also post a final pic of the install, so people can see how the unit looks installed.

By the way, Walmart has the unit on sale for $656 and that is almost $250 off. The cheapest I could find it at an Authorized reseller was $899.

Awesome, you know though, it would have looked even more awesome in a custom dash bezel and not the oversized OEM navigational bezel.

Im just sayin'
