brake line fun (not!) - suggestions please!
(2004 1500 QC 4x4 5.7)
I goofed up. I had the fully loaded left front caliper off and sitting on top of the upper control arm. It falls off, and then the brake hose starts leaking. Agggh! So I find a new one locally, whew. But the hose has an integrated T, and two lines (nuts and lines) go into that T. The top line nut was very tight, and I can tell that the brake line is fused to the nut still. I don't want to have to repair the line! What can I do to get the nut to let go of the hard line before it cracks the line and I'm in for more fun?
Before starting I hit both those line nuts with pb blaster, and let it soak for a couple hours. I broke the top one, and then hit it with more pb. I really don't want to play chase the broken brake line all the way to the master cylinder...
Thanks!

I ended up pulling the line from the master cyl to that T connection. Then I spun the T off the line (so I wouldn't break the hard line). Tried to work the nut loose from the line on the bench, no luck.
Finally I got out the propane torch. That did it, and it wasn't rusty. I think it was just jammed with dirt. The plastic coating melted and I was able to get the nut moving. I cleaned the line with a wire wheel, now I need to figure out what I'm going to use as counter corrosion.
The hard plastic retainers and the crazy routing made pulling that line out of the engine compartment time consuming.
