Default Heated seat retrofit

Hi all, I have a 2005 QC 4x4 Hemi that originally had just one electric (unheated) front seat (left/drivers). My car was converted to right hand drive leaving a standard seat for the driver. I have sourced a replacement electric right seat for the driver (which allows it to rise to a suitable height for someone like me who is vertically challenged!). The replacement seat is also heated, which I would like to enable. I have looked at wiring diagram 8W-63-9/10 but I'm not clear about the location of the Heated Seat Control Unit (is it in the seat or dash - if fitted?) and how the sensor input works (presumably to prevent overheating?). If the control unit isn't fitted to a car that didn't originally have heated seats, is it simply a case of connecting the back and seat elements to a (timed) switch? Where is the heated seat switch(es) located on a car that has them fitted?

Sorry about all the questions!

LATER: Oops! Realised I was looking at the wrong (vehicle) wiring diagrams - it should have been 8W-63-6/7 on the 2005 Ram. Questions still stand.

I believe most control units are simple potentiometers (like a dimmer switch)....

Your best bet is to purchase the heated seat switches from Dodge and see if there are any other parts you might need to make it work correctly..... shouldn't be all that hard to do.

Also most heated seat modules are "under" the seat or directly behind the switch for them... not sure about your vehicle as it is right hand drive now....
