Default Weird lampout when blinker and lights on

Here's my issue.
All my lights work fine and all my bulbs are original. When I put my blinkers on with my lights OFF they work fine

But when I turn my lights ON I get a lapout when I put my left blinker on. My blinker will run a bit faster, but not as fast as if I have a burnt bulb.

Took it to my local dealer and they said its the headlight harnes. They ordered a new plug but havent recieved it yet.

Anybody have this issue?

It's a very common issue on the 3rd Gen. A search will bring up multiple topics on this. The Rams will throw a lamp out light for a light that is going bad but hasn't burnt out yet also.

some blinkers are dual filament and the filaments get crossed so the system thinks the bulb is out when in fact only half of it is out... just replace the bulb and see what happens... its pretty easy to replace

Here the thing. I just had a friend tcheck out the lights while I worked them from the inside. When I hit the brake pedal my blinker get to the right speed and the lampout will turn off, like everything is normal. As soon as i let off the brake pedal,it all starts again and lapmout comes back.

you have a short somewhere...

Most likely in the multifunction switch or the harness after the clockspring...

You'll have to start tracing wires looking for damaged wire or bad grounds...

Those little shorts are freakin hard to find, so be very very very very patient....

I had this problem on my 03 3500.
It was a bad blinker bulb. They are dual filament and one might be blown

Try new bulbs first. Then I agree with a short, possiable circuit board on the tail light assy.
