Default turning O/D off while towing at highway speeds

I have a question. Im getting 4.56 gears for my truck. I have a 2003 Ram Hemi. O.K. Picture this.........Im driving at 65mph in 5th gear with 6500lb camper in tow. I come to a steep long hill, (like a hill in west virginia or western north carolina). Now should I take my foot off the accelerator and push my O/D OFF button and let the torque converter lock in 3rd gear and climb the hill like that? Will doing this going 65mph with that much weight harm anything???? I calculated out if I slow down to 55 and lock out the overdrive i will be running 2600rpm. If I keep the same speed at 65mph and lock out the overdrive I will be running at 3100rpm. Which I think either one of those options will be better than doing nothing and letting the truck run up the hill downshifting into whatever gear and not locking the torque converter. Am I right with my thinking?????

Just hit the button and continue.. No need to slow down that much and become a hazard to others..

If you have tow mode, with that much weight, it should already be engaged, or OD should already be off until you park the trailer.

I'm with dlyer, just turn O/D off while moving, all it does it make the transmission downshift, so it's not going to grenade anything.
