Exclamation 3G 4.7L power steering leak issue

The leak is coming from where the lines thread into the steering rack. Going to tighten them up this weekend. Hopefully loose lines are the cause. My mother-in-law has the exact same issue on her 04 QC 4.7 as well. Anyone else have these issues too?

Haven't seen this in my dad's Ram, but when it leaked the rack ended up going out completely. Keep an eye on it.

I do keep the reservoir filled. Mother-in-law's power steering is starting to make light sqeals on turns. Mine squeals constantly, even when driving straight. It's not an obnoxious sound, but I know when there's something wrong with my baby.

Other than a constant light squeal and fluid leak on mine, I don't have any issues steering.

No excessive stiffness or a slight clunk in the wheel when turning? That's what my dad's did when it went out.

Then the reman just about blew up. Then when the shop put another reman in, it blew the seals and hoses on the test drive.

Needless to say, the shop put in a OEM rack. And ate the ENTIRE cost labor and all. lol

No problems aside from leaking fluid and a constant light squeal from mine. Mother in laws truck lightly squeals when turning.

Just noticed a similar same thing on mine this past week. At first I thought it was the threaded connections since there was fluid all over the area but it was the return line that is located just over the threaded lines that was dripping on it. Just a cheap hose clamp that worked its way loose over a few cold months this fall. Seems to be a pretty common complaint for these trucks. hopefully this might be all that's causing your leak too.
