Default unidentified plug with broken wire, anyone what it does?

Hey all, first time to post and will be sure to get on the new member page asap but need some help right quick.
I've been going through heck with an 03 1500 4x4 I just bought and dumping way too much money into it. Ran across a plug that seems to have a relay on the back of it. The orange wire running from the female end is ripped out but there doesn't seem to be a clip in it anyways. The plug is attached to the passenger side firewalls I'll attach a pic in a minute. Does anyone know what this connector is for?

Correction: Apparently I am having issues uploading a picture but I'll do my best to explain it.

It has two wires, an orange and a green/orange. It seems to attach to a relay that looks to run into a ground cluster connecting to metal. The plug is located on the passenger side firewall above ecu.

I know not much to go on but any thoughts?

I just went out and looked at my truck. I do not have the plug you are referencing on my truck, but I DO have an orange wire in same location hanging there unattached. But it is terminated with like heat shrink and not a bare wire. Appears to be an extra wire or one not used for me.

Could it be that fog light plug that people have when they don't have fog lights?

I recently had electrical issues specifically affecting speedo, odometer, heater/blower controls, and reverse lights. After a sea of uncertainties and too much much money spent in a new IPM I finally solved the issues by locating a corroded and separated wire within the C2 connector on the bottom of the IPM. This solved all my issues EXCEPT the climate control selector that still will not differentiate between upper/lower/defrost etc.
Could this be a possibility?

If not, any thoughts on what does control that part of the heating?

Thanks

There are a series of transfer doors in your air circulation that are prone to breaking on these trucks. I would do a search on air blend doors, may be your problem...
