Angry Master Control Switch - wires crossed

This isn't a huge issue but something thats annoying me with the 07 ram 1500 hemi Big Horn ed. I just bought. The truck had been damaged before and the dealership replaced the driver's side door. Now I have buttons on my master control switch that don't work the correct window. Actually the driver's window is the only one that works correctly. For example my passegner window button makes that window go down, but another makes it go up. Trial and error hasn't played in my favor and I haven't had any luck finding a diagram for that wiring harness.

Does anyone have a picture of their actual wiring you wouldn't mind sharing or a diagram?

check the service manual for a connector pinout or wiring diagram.

You can download it from weedahoes signature.

It definitely sounds like the wrong master control was used and some of the wires are on the wrong pins.

Thanks for the advice.

I thought maybe after checking out the diagrams I'd have better luck. Not so. Apparently the whole harness was replaced by something other than Dodge wiring because the colors don't match at all. I even tracked down a friend with a year model off and HIS matched the diagram but not my colors. Should be mostly orange wires. Mine however are a mess of blue, purples, browns, green. So no luck there.

I was able to solve part of the problem with a circuit tester. I was able to atleast figure out which wires pair together for the four windows and the locks. I now have the drivers side front and rear window working correctly. Now the right front goes down correctly but the rear switch makes it go up. And the back switch goes down correctly but the front makes it go up. You would think just switching the right front and the right backs down wires in the harness would work but it doesn't. Both windows stop working all together.

So my question now is does anyone have a diagram showing what each pin in the harness goes to? I think it's called a schematic but I'm not very auto-literate.

I know I should be having someone more experienced doing this but I live on an island. Also I'm enjoying the challenge and now that my boyfriend has said that he doesn't think I can fix this, I need to prove him wrong.

Actually I think I have nine of the 12 pins figured out. Basically I've taken pictures of my friends harness and compared it to diagrams to see which pin goes to what window. Then I matched the wires I paired to my windows using a circuit tester to that and tested and I have two windows working correctly and the other two going down correctly. Then I hit a wall. My switch turns off when I try putting the passenger or the passenger rear window up. It comes back on after five second but I don't get any movement.

Here's what I have pieced together as far as the pins in the harness. There's 12 pins, seven in the top row, five in the bottom. I have them numbered as follows:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7
8 9 10 11 12

And I think the following is true:

1 Drivers down
2
3 Drivers Rear down
4 Power
5
6 Passenger down
7 Passenger Rear down
8 Drivers up
9 Drivers Rear up
10
11 Passenger up
12 Passenger rear up





If I haven't confused you beyond repair and anyone has any idea what I am trying to say, I would really appreciate your help! Thanks again!

If you actually have 7 pins in that top row, the post I made about the connector pinouts being wrong might help you. But two of the pins should be ground, and one should be "Fused B+ (Run or ACC)" or some such thing that provides constant power when the key is turned on or the truck is running.

For my vehicle it only has 5 pins in the top row and 7 on the bottom, so they don't seem to match up with the manual.

Problem solved! It's 03 wires in an 07 truck AND the wires to the left rear are actually switched with the right front wires.
