Default Help Please trans problem 2003 ram

I have a 03 ram that im having tranny problems with. When i take off in drive it will shift into second but wont go into 3rd or overdrive it just kicks out of gear if i drop it down into second on the shifter it drives fine.I took it to the tranny shop and they put it on the scanner and the codes were p0846,p0876,p0888,p0871,p0869,p0988 i have looked the codes up and they were differnt kinds switch sense circuits. Can anyone help? Does this sound like a selenoid pack problem?

Sounds like he isnt going to tell you anything without you putting some money in his hands first. I dont care how good he is I would find a more honest shop

Well, he told you what he got. He just doesn't want to put any effort into it without any money. Don't blame him. I'm lazy too. At least he gave you the codes. I don't know what those codes mean, but your tranny is in "limp mode" to preserve itself from total breakdown. Could be computer, could be solenoid pack, could be something broke appart in the transmission and is clogging some fluid paths. I don't know what the cause is, but you are one step closer to having the problem solved by having those codes. Either way, first step is to take the filters out and check for any abnormal wear or large particles in the pan and filters.
