Default Won't start... new starter

Hi guys. My truck wouldn't start yesterday so I bought a new starter thinking that would be the problem. Other was was 8 years old so I figured I could use a new one anyways. Installed it, and nothing. I hear it clicking as though it is engaging, but it won't turn the truck over. I thought battery might be bad, but I tried jumping it and the same thing, starter clicks but nothing. I checked the small fuses and relays in the fuse box, all seem good. What else am I missing here? Any help would be appreciated!

Nevermind, I cleaned the gunk off the hot wires and battery terminal and truck started right up. I feel like an idiot for not doing it sooner, seeing as there was a good amount of corrosion/junk on the terminals. Mods, feel free to delete this thread
