my hood release keeps breaking on my 02 1500.there is a little clip that holds the hood release rod onto a hole and it keeps coming off and then the hood release rod falls off.does anyone know what that little clip is called and where i can buy one no one seems to know for some reason.

 

You have to buy the whole striker assembly from the dealer. They dont sell just that plastic piece. Same thing happened to me two days ago. I got one from the dealer for around $22.

 

ok thanks do you know what its called?just tell them i need a striker assembly guess ill call the dealer later today.

 

When you tell them about the little plastic piece, they will pretty much finish your statement for you. Pretty sure its called hood strike or striker assembly.
