By my understanding they put the Getrag 238 manual transmisson in both the Rams and the Dakotas. I through out the 2nd gear syncro in the getrag in my 06, 4.7L, 4WD dakota and the shop wants 2800 to repair it or 3400 to replace it. So I have been looking to see if I can find a transmision that I could put in my self to save some money but I cant seem to find any.

Does anyone know of a place where I can find one?

 

Junkyards. Try car-part.com for a low mileage unit. You should be able to find one in good shape for < 1500
