Upper ball joints 2006 1500
I recently replaced the front wheel bearings on my 06 1500. While doing this I noticed that the rubber boots on the upper and lower ball joints were cracked/torn.
From what I have found online in order to replace the upper ball joints you have to replace the entire upper control arm...is this true? And if so is this a dealer only part?
I have been searching and can only find the upper control arm's for upto 2005 1500's and 06+ 2500 and 3500's...nothing for 06 1500's.

The upper control arm and ball joint are not separable.
I replaced a worn upper a year or two ago with a MOOG grease-able replacement... check advanceautoparts.com - that is where I bought one for my 2004. If you're careful about marking the mount points, you won't have to pay for an alignment either - assuming its in line now.
You may be able to find a replacement rubber boot.
