front axel issues wit my lift

Default front axel issues wit my lift

hey I'm new to the site also this is my first truck i have a 2002 1500 4x4 with a 3 inch lift on it i bought it like this a couple months ago and i realized the lift is killing the front axels wat can i do to fix this problem?????

I personally dont dave a lift on my truck, but ive read that lifts and levels can be hard on front suspension. it puts an extreme angle on the cv shafts. if youve got a lift, its gonna put more wear and tear on parts. thats just how it is.

thanks i think im bout to drop it back down front axels barely lasted a few months before they started making noise

well it may not be becuase of the lift. could just be the parts were going bad anyway.

these were brand new parts i put on i changed both side and both of the went bad with in like 2 weeks of each other

Sounds like torsion keys or someone cranked them up. I've seen what happens to these trucks once you pass the 2" mark (not gonna lie, I cranked the t-bars to about 3" in my 02 as well lol) and its pretty much like you described... so yes the only way is to lower it back down a bit or better yet all the way and your front end will forgive you haha.
Were the axle shafts being pulled off the splines as well?
