Does it run like this?

my 04 with the 5.7 it was a broken valve spring
The compression checks out good.

It did want to die like your truck before i changed the crank sensor with one off the original motor.
It now idles good except when you put it in reverse and sometimes in forward gears.

Will check on the yr of the motor.
I do not want to dig into the motor yet with the temps in the -18f range.
Have run seafoam through the motor multiple times.

Thanks.

So the Fuel Pressure is within acceptable range.

You've replaced the crank sensor with one from "the old motor"

The Compression on every cylinder is 150-160 PSI

Can you just take a moment to list out exactly what you've already tried and the results?

Also what are the details on this replacement motor? As I am assuming the motor you are having problems with is a "new" motor?
