Ball Joint Inspection
Before buying new shocks, upper ball joints, a new wheel bearing, 2 inch leveling, for around 482 (since it was plenty expensive to begin with.. ebay at least saved me a lot of money)
i decided to opt out of getting lower ball joints. (upper ball joints were shot, no boots).
I took a hd rod and went between my lower ball joint to see if their was play. I found no play. I noticed that it had a grease fitting and wasn't a dodge crappy design. But upon testing them i accidentally put pressure and pushed the boot upwards and had grease squeeze out. I did not tear the boot, only put pressure.
Is this normal? The lower ball joints actually look great! boots seem perfect. and will save me the hassle of pressing them myself.
I do have a clunk when turning right but im going to deem that my play in the wheel bearing.

to properly check the lower ball joints, you need to jack up the wheel by putting the jack under the lower control arm, this unloads the ball joint since the lower is the load carrier in the ram suspension. then using a long prybar, pry between the knuckle and the control arm and try to extend the ball joint. Any amount of visible play is bad. Its normal for some grease to squeeze out, as long as you didnt tear the boot.
