Default Electrical nightmare!

I recently purchased a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L from a buddy of mine and got rid of my sport trac. I have ran into a few issues, that I cannot seem to pinpoint. First off, the driver side door is a different color (under the new paint) which tells me it has been replaced in the past. All of my problems are with the rear passenger driver side door. Issue 1 is my window will go down, but not up. As of tonight I replaced the motor and regulator, and tried the switch from the other door (which worked on it). No good result, window continues to go down, but not up. I traced to wiring through the door, through the rubber cover, into the pillar and picked it back up near the driver side door rubber cover. I saw no breaks or kinks. Second issue is I have no audio comming from that door. One of the things I did was turn on the radio, transfer fade and balance to that speaker and began to wiggle wires along the way with no luck. And lastly the power lock doesnt work on this door (FOB or Lock button on driver door).

I have looked through alot of posts on here, and have noticed that a lot of issues come back to the master switches on the driver side door. Now with that in mind I would like to know if some of my issues could be resolved by replacing these switches (obviously not the audio). The switch is over $100 so I would like more than "give it a shot".

Any help would be appreciated!

If the window works up/down with another switch, then the problem is in the switch. Likely one of the solder contacts has broken and isn't making contact.

It could be really dirty also, they spark a fair bit when you use them and it burns the contacts and makes them go black.

if it isn't a switch then I don't know

Window doesnt work with other switch, well not anymore than the switch that is in it. I.E. it will go down but not up with any switch......... question basically is, is it worth the gamble of purchasing the master switch on the driver side door?

I remember a thread on here where someone else had a similar problem. They found a couple of the pins reversed in the panel. Can't remember exactly what his issue was but sounds similar, especially with the door possibly being replaced. Get a schematic and pinout and trace it out. May have some wires reversed.

yes, I posted in that thread, should be able to dig it up looking through my posts. It isn't that old and I think it has a similar title.
