I bought a 2006 Dodge 2500 in Sept of 2010 and quickly learned the "lock" that holds the back of the drivers seat in your desired position was broken. I'm a big guy and when I hit a pot hole I fall back a few inches. It'll only go back without pulling up on the side lever. I can't force it forward. Is there a fix for this or is a new seat in my future?

 

you sure that truck wasn't involved in an accident...?

A lot of the time when trucks get into accidents the seat rails end up breaking...

My guess is the locking mechanism on the seat rail is broken... so you will need a new seat and seat rail...
