Lifting A 08' 6.7 2500?
New to the forum. I have a jeep that i normally daily drive, but have recently bought a 2008 Dodge 6.7 2500 4x4 Diesel.
I've been wanting to lift it recently, and i can't seem to find all the information i'm looking for, so i figured i'd come here.
I've been looking at all sorts of diesel power websites, and nobody seems to answer this question.
Anyways, i want to lift my 6.7. I want to lift it 6.5" inches, and fit 37" tires (BFG KM2s 37x12.5x17) under it. I'm not even sure if a 37 will fit under with only 6.5" of lift without rubbing.
Does anyone know how much backspacking i would need so that my tires won't rub on my LCAs?
If that's not possible i'd like to do 6.5" of lift on 35s.
I know on jeeps when you do this much lift, and that big of tires your drive-line angles become terrible, and you need to get a SYE. Do SYEs even exist on these trucks?
What else would i be looking at doing to achieve what i'm trying to achieve?
Is there a difference between gas lift ktis and diesel lift kits? I figured a diesel one would be more heavy duty, or am i wrong here as well?
I'm trying to stay in the ~$1,000 area for the lift kit, but feel free to inform me on all my options.
I was looking at this lift kit;

Sorry for all the writing, but i'm trying to learn as much as i can.
Thanks!

usually the norm is 3" lift with 35"s is acceptable. ofcorse that makes for a very crowded truck but whatever. i dont think you should have a problem going 6.5 and 37s. dont quote me on it but just something to think about.
The SFA setup in your truck is much different than the IFS in the 1500s most of us drive, making a lift for yours considerably different. Someone here with SFA experience may stumble across your post, but I imagine you'd be much better off asking your question on a forum that specializes in heavy duty trucks with SFA.
FWIW, if it's made for a 25/3500, the only difference between diesel and gas kits is usually stiffer coil springs.

Look into the BDS kits or Pure Performance kits
I have a 04 2500 with a 6" lift and clear 37's.I started out with the 6" Superlift and had no problems for 5 years,I have since pieced together all new pieces(Pure Performance coils,Pure Performance long Arms,Bilstein shocks, 4" Carli Deaver Leafs,Carli airbags....ect)
I have 0 offset with 5" BS on 17x9 wheels
