Default Tube on rear axle brake tee

I recently had to use my spare. After mounting the spare, I saw a rubber tube hanging on the ground. It is attached to the brake line tee on the rear axle.

Does anyone know where this goes? I sure don't...

Could be the vent tube from the axle/diff. Mine dropped down while bolting on new shocks a few years ago. There's a little metal clip to hold it up to the side if I remember correctly. Truck is parked in 18" of snow so I can't look but sure seems like the same thing from what I remember.

should be axle vent. both my 91 and 93 have them. the vent thing is pretty much a bolt that just hold the rear flex line to the axle. the one end is usually zip tied to the frame to keep it from sucking in water.

100% vent tube and while your at it .... Make sure it's clear.
My axle is so rusty inside the axles tubes from this bring blocked.
I've got to strip mine down this summer and somehow clean all the rust out before I fit my 4:56 gear set.
