Awesome thanks!! I'll get hold of the manual! I have go a code scanner (bought from Sears last time I was your side of the pond) and I've been looking up the fault codes online.

Ok little more progress, well kind of!

Went to go collect the truck today, the ECU i've had shipped from the states hasn't been programmed as it was meant to be, so no VIN number stored and brings on all sorts of lights on my dash!?!?! Anyway, that annoyance aside, the truck runs and drives fine, or it did until I got about 5 miles away from the shop! Engine fault code came on, I called them and and arranged to get it back in there, we read the codes and its showing a transmission oil pressure sensor switch it out of range, new one on order and will be here in the morning....hopefully that'll solve that one!

The real issue is that I still have an annoying whine coming from the front of the transmission, the whine changes with RPM and is present even when the truck is in Neutral. I've done a quick search and seen some posts saying this relates to the torque converter, or possibly the input shaft bearing/bushing - would you not expect these items to have been changed if you'd just spent £1650 + vat...or at todays exchange rates that around $3000!

Thanks for all you're help ladies and gentlemen, extremely appreciated.
