Question Some wiring i assume....

My mother has a pre owned 03 ram 1500. The guy that had it before she got it thought he knew what he was doing when he wired in a remote start and alarm kit. I ripped it all out and reconnected all the factory wires as they should be. Everything is wired like it should be, nothing extra.

This brings me to my problem; when the key is out of the ignition, there is no power to anything, no flashers, no cab light, no nothing.

What in the world could it be?

I cant even begin to describe the wiring mess that was in there from not only the remote start and alarm, but also from a very bad amp/woofer/video screen job....
But like i said, everything is back to factory. No bare wires, no loose wires, just no constant hot when the key is out of the ignition.

check the fuses in the pdc under the hood first, may have just let the smoke out on one.

Maybe fuse 20

I agree with fuses might have burnt out, but it would help to know which brand and model Remote start was installed in there.

Let us know.
