Default 05 Dodge Ram with upgrade but hard start

I have a 05 Dodge Ram 2500. 5.9 Cummins. It has 145k miles. Upgrades include Air Dog 150, rebuilt injectors by Industrial Injections with am added 100 hp, Edge Juice, K&N cold air intake, rebuilt turbo, stage 4 tranny, new grid heater. Only thing is it takes 5 plus seconds to start. Once its warmed up its not that bad. Why? What can I do to fix this?

Are you sure the heater grid is working correctly? Batteries are good? Maybe someone else with more 5.9 experience can chime in.

Is it on the first start of the day? Could be fuel pressure issue. I know you said the heater grid is new, but is it actually working? After its warm it doesn't need the grid as much.

1st start if the day & If you let it sit all day. I was told that when you upgrade injectors that this may happen. What kind of fuel issues do you think. We put the Air Dog 150 on hoping it would help.

Fuel pump bleeding off pressure. So the extended cranking comes from the fuel pump and lift pump filling the fuel rail. not sure how true this is for a diesel, because of the lift pump. I am new to diesel's myself. Just trying to throw out some basic ideas. hoping I can help. I am basing this off my knowledge of gas engine fuel systems. I may be way off.
