Default Differential drop brackets help! 04 1500 lift

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd. I had my torsion bars cranked a couple of inches to fit my new toyo tires and after about 500 miles my mechanics lowered it back down and said it was ruining my axles. So I've been looking into a full suspension lift in order to lift and right and keep the axles at a decent angle. My mechanic said we could lift the front end if I got some differential drop brackets that would keep the axles at a decent angle. Does anyone know where I could get some of these brackets? If I found some could I crank my torsion bars up to 3" and block the rear? I want my axles to be fine but I want some lift. Any help would be appreciated.

When we lifted my buddies Silverado with a skyjacker lift kit they included differential drop brackets in the kit. Maybe contact skyjacker and see if you can buy them separate for a ram? Just a thought.

I'll try contacting some of the lift kit companies and see if they sell them separately

These trucks will fit 34 leveled. Why not use torsion bar keys? much cheaper.

Torsion bar keys do the same thing as a torsion bar crank so thats gonna put his cv axles right back to where they were. The only good way to lift a 4x4 is a full suspension lift, or possibly a body lift if you don't mind the way those look.

True 'dat...

"leveling keys" are simply keys which are indexed differently than the stock keys. Installing these raises the front end the same way simply cranking the stock keys up does - by exerting pressure on the torsion bars.

Given the same amount of lift, the CV axles will be at the same angle whether you crank the stockers or install leveling keys.

ALL proper suspension kits come with bracketry to keep the CVs at or near stock levels. The only one that comes to mind that raises the axles is the Fabtech 6" kit, so I'd steer clear of that one. Many reports (a few on here) of guys with that kit snapping CVs...

Ya I've heard that fabtech isn't real good for the trucks. I'm looking at a rough country 4" kit or a zone 5" kit. A body lift is out of the question since I have ranch hand bumpers. Any idea where I get a suspension lift on the cheap? Any websites have the best prices?
