2006 1500 Cab Shaking
Hey Guys,
I have an 06 1500 QC with around 140,000kms. Have noticed the cab of the truck is shaking when coasting downhill around a corner, or above 110km/h on the highway. I can feel it shaking as well as hear a distinct noise. I don't believe the steering wheel shakes, but it's hard to be certain when the whole cab is shaking.
Have rebalanced my tires, replaced both U joints on drive shaft, replaced rear rotors and pads (steering wheel should shake if it was front brakes IMO, and fronts are only about year old) and also put all four different rims/tires on in case one was bent or warped. I have taken it to a couple different mechanics who have not come up with any solutions other than what has already been tried.
Any ideas on what would be causing this annoying shake? Could it possibly be my rear diff?

I have started to wonder about one or both wheel bearings. The noise has gotten progressively louder and for some reason the cab doesn't really shake anymore. Making more of a WUB WUB WUB noise mostly in corners but is starting to be more prominent driving straight as well.
Just fixed the WUB WUB WUB noise that came with a vibration under the cab. It was most pronounced when turning right, then got worse and started to doing the same straight ahead. It was the driver side hub bearing. At first I thought it was a bad or dragging brake pad. It came on rather quickly over about 100 miles. Clock shows about 93K.
I have a 2007 QC 2wd 4.7L and my cab shakes violently. It got bad over a few months of owning it and now after a year it is horrible. Have had it in to multiple mechanics and rear end/drive line shops and all said it was tires. Got new tires and worse than before. Have had every inch of the truck checked out. No one can figure out what is wrong. ONLY thing not checked was dropping drive shaft and spinning it. Mechanic did not what to do it because he really doubts it was that. I did get under my truck and check myself and when checking front u joints on driveshaft, I noticed that the shaft going into the rear of the tranny moves around when you shake it. Maybe 1/16th of an inch but you can here it clanking around. Is that normal to have slight movement there or could that be my problem? Also on rear passanger side, I noticed there is a home made bracket welded to the bottom of the bed of the truck, and welded to the rear of the leaf spring bracket. Could that be causing any shaking? not sure if there should be movenment in that spot of the leave spring. I can post a picture of it when I get home later. Any help would be great because it just keeps getting worse. Almost to the point where I can not drive it anymore. Also I have no noise from wheel bearing and they all feel tight when checked. Only sound I have is when tranny goes into 5th at low speeds of about 40mph I will get a droneing sound when on the gas, let off and it stops.
