Default Magnaflow Catback

Does the Magnaflow split rear dual catback bolt right on? I have a 2004 1500 4x4. Does the spare have to be removed and relocated like other catbacks? If it is a direct bolt in is there anything else I need to pick up(hangers, etc.) Can this be done in my driveway? Thanks.

If you have 17" wheels, I think you'll be ok with the spare. If you have 20" wheels, I think you may have an issue. You can do it in the drive way, just know that removing the pipes and mufler from the stock system can be very difficult from a laying-on-your-back position. As far as the head pipe coming off the cats, you "may" have to cut it off. If you know what kit you are getting, you may find the installation instructions in pdf format on Magnaflow's Web site. At least some are there. The kit should have everything you need.

I have a 04 1500 and have dual out rear magnaflow. I didnt have to remove my spare and I did it in my garage in about and hour. I didnt have to cut the old off, it just slid right off. As mazz said you can get the instructions from magnaflow on the web page. Its simple and goes on really easy and looks and sounds nice when finished.

I have the Magnaflow catback on both of my Mustangs and love the sound they make. I saw the Gibson and a couple of others that say you have to remove the spare to install so I just wanted to check before purchasing it. Thanks.
