my truck has no heat coming out the drivers side vents but the passenger side vents has heat. Also the ac only blow cold on the drivers side but the passenger side it wont get cold.with both the heat or ac on i can smell coolant coming out the vents.would this be a bad heater core or blend door?

Smell of coolant in the passenger compartment and lack of heat on the drivers side points to a heater core failure.

coolant smell is a leaking heater core, but it sounds like the blend door is indeed bad as well, regardless of a leaking heater core you should be able to get AC on both sides of the cab.

Likely a blend door issue as well.
Though my dad's Ram was REALLY low on refrigerant and it made the passenger side a/c crap.
