Default 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 front driveshaft??

I am experiencing some vibration in the front of my truck when I am at cruising speeds on the highway.. I have been told that it may be the CV joint on the front shaft. I was considering taken it out for a couple of days and driving it to see if for sure this is the problem.. I crawled under it today to check it out, I am use to seeing the underside of pre 2000 model trucks.. When I saw the front shaft I was a little confused.. there werent any bolts or flange mounting it to the tcase.. How in the world do you get the shaft away from the tcase?? Do I just pull it out? I know to mark the front flange so it all goes back correctly.. Just not sure about the back half that goes into the tcase.. If anyone would happen to have any info about the whole shimmy, vibration I am experiencing that would be GREAT as well.. Any help is always a BIG help... Thanks in advance..

Just unbolt the driveshaft at the front diff and the back of the driveshaft will slide off of a stub shaft that comes out of the transfer case.

Yep, that's how I did it. Though my problem was the u-joint on the front shaft.
