Default 2004 ram 1500 5.7l Need Help!

I posted a while back about an o2 sensor code I was getting p0150. It was never resolved, I believe I need to replace the computer since I've replaced both side o2 sensors with mopar and replaced the gasket in the leaking exhaust manifold.

BUT NOW the truck is throwing codes for TCM and shift solenoid F. Ill stop at a stop sign and try to move and the truck will randomly be stuck in second or third gear and will not shift from it until I shut the truck off and turn it back on.

In addition it just started running very rough at very low speeds and when turning.

I'm especially worried about these tranny codes.. Can this solenoid f be replaced?

Those codes are unrelated, and yes that solenoid and sensor can be replaced.

Not sure how handy you are, but it's a little involved...

Pretty handy, anyone know of a write up on what is involved? Also any idea on what to do with the rough idle? I heard cleaning the throttle body might help

That rough idle can be attribute to random multiple misfires, code just came up.. Not sure why all wired are connected good

Check the service manual... you can d/l it by following the link in weedahoe's signature.

Just search for his username [weedahoe]

I've replaced the pcm and none of the codes came back on. Now I'm just getting a low catalytic efficiency threshold.. Guess its time for a new cat

Then you may need to bring that PCM into the dealer (with the truck) and have them check it all out.

It may need a re-flash or it might just need to be replaced outright.

They do go bad sometimes... although it's not too common.

And that efficiency threshold DTC usually means that your Down-Stream (after CAT) Oxygen Sensor is toast.

That would not cause a rough idle however, UNLESS you have a clogged Catalytic Converter, if you replace the sensor with a new one and that DTC comes back then your Cat is clogged and you need to replace it.

9 out of 10 times it's the O2 Sensor though.
